Membership Obligations and Privileges in the Confraternity of Christ the King
Variety can
often be confusing, particularly variety in an
unfamiliar topic. Therefore, a simple summary of the
obligations and privileges of CCR membership is offered here.
Comes
- To use the Seal of the
CCR.
- To wear the Simple Arms of
the CCR.
- To be entered, if desired, on the Roll of the
Confraternity. The Roll is one of the intentions of the
Confraternity; thus, this puts the comes
in the prayers of all the members.
Miles
- To use the Seal of the
CCR.
- To wear the Simple Arms of
the CCR.
- To wear the sagum and rostripetasus of the
CCR.
- To walk in procession with the CCR, when such are occurring.
- To be entered, if desired, on the Roll of the
Confraternity. The Roll is one of the intentions of the
Confraternity; thus, this puts the miles
in the prayers of all the members.
Eques
- To use the Seal of the
CCR.
- To wear the Simple Arms of
the CCR.
- To wear the sagum and rostripetasus of the
CCR.
- To walk in procession with the CCR, when such are occurring.
- To be entered, if desired, on the Roll of the
Confraternity. The Roll is one of the intentions of the
Confraternity; thus, this puts the eques
in the prayers of all the members.
- To pray the Prayer to Our Lord
Jesus Christ the King once per day.
- To pray the Laudes Regiæ on
Sundays and on feasts of Christ the King.
- To fast and abstain from meat on Fridays.
- To participate in CCR
chapter meetings and work toward their ends.
- To pray the Divine Office, or one of its approved
substitutes as described in the Rule (or here, in
brief).
